EMERGENCY MAP DISTRIBUTION AND FIRST RESPONDER WALKTHROUGHS [K]
In accordance with TxSSC best practices, the Blinn College District distributes emergency maps of all District facilities to local law enforcement, fire departments, EMS agencies, and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). Emergency maps include evacuation routes, shelter locations, fire alarm pull stations, fire alarm control panel stations, fire standpipe connections, fire hydrants, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, bleeding control stations, AEDs, hazardous materials storage, server rooms, mechanical rooms, and utility shutoffs.
The District also offers first responder walkthroughs of all District facilities to local law enforcement, fire departments, EMS agencies, and DPS to familiarize first responders with campus layouts, access points, and safety features.
