Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham

The Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham gives talented students an opportunity to pursue their engineering degree while co-enrolled at Texas A&M University and the Blinn College District. Engineering Academy students take their first-year math, science, and engineering courses on the Brenham Campus together while living as a community in Mill Creek Hall.

The Fall 2019 application is closed.

 

September 2019

Blinn College Apply Texas application opens for Fall 2020.

 

Fall and Spring

Optional: Preview Day at Blinn-Brenham. This will include separate breakout sessions for students and families interesting in learning more about the Engineering Program at Blinn as well as the Engineering Academy.

 

January 1, 2020

The Blinn College review process begins. Students who meet the prequalification requirements for the program will begin receiving the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham program applications via email.

 

March 1, 2020

Priority deadline for completing the Blinn admissions process.

 

April 1, 2020

Priority Deadline for pre-qualified students to complete the Academy program application and submission of required documents

 

April 2020

Texas A&M begins releasing program decisions. Admissions processing for Texas A&M may take 4-8 weeks once the student has completed the program application and submitted all required documents.

 

June 30, 2020

Application deadline for the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham for Fall 2020. Upon acceptance into the program, students should also complete an application for Blinn on-campus housing.

 

July 2020

Welcome Days. Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham program orientation.

 

Admissions Requirements

1. Must have a high school diploma, GED, or a college/university degree
2. Complete the Blinn College District application for admission at www.applytexas.org (select Engineering as your major and Brenham as the campus).
3. Submit proof of bacterial meningitis immunization
4. Submit an official high school transcript, GED certificate, and/or college transcripts (if applicable).
5. Submit ACT or SAT scores. If not exempt by SAT, ACT, or STAAR exams, submit TSI scores. See TSI information.
