Official Blinn Logos and Marks
The Blinn College District institutional logo is the primary visual identifier and must be used on all official print and digital materials, promotional items, and apparel. Logos are available in approved horizontal and vertical formats and must not be altered, recreated, stretched, or modified. The bell tower graphic must always appear with the Blinn wordmark and may not be used on its own.
Blinn logos are licensed through CLC and may only be used by approved vendors. Logos must be obtained from official sources and used exactly as provided. All projects using Blinn logos are subject to review and approval by the Marketing and Communications Department prior to production.
Primary Usage
It is encouraged to use the vertical or horizontal version of the Blinn logo.

Secondary Usage
The extreme horizontal version is only to be used when vertical space is limited.

Blinn Unit Logos
Approved unit logos allow divisions, departments, and programs to identify themselves while maintaining a cohesive Blinn identity. Unit logos must include the official Blinn logo and one approved unit name. Departments should never create their own logos or alter approved designs. Customized unit logos are available through the Marketing and Communications Department.

General Use Marks
General use marks are intended for limited applications such as promotional items and apparel. These marks may not replace institutional or unit logos and may not be used to identify departments or initiatives. Promotional items using general marks must also include an official Blinn institutional logo.

The Blinn College District Seal
The Blinn College District seal is the most formal graphic representation of the institution. The university seal is reserved for Chancellor communication or Board of Trustees materials and ceremonial use such as diplomas and certificates.

Logo Usage Guidelines
Always maintain proper clear space around logos and follow minimum size requirements to ensure legibility. Logos must appear only in approved colors and may not be placed on backgrounds that reduce contrast or visibility. Only one institutional or unit logo should appear in a single design space.
Logo Clear Space
The minimum clear space is equal to the height of the letter B in the institutional logo and the height of the divider line in the extreme horizontal logo.

Minimum Size
In general, the logo must be prominently displayed and sized appropriately for each particular purpose. To retain sufficient visibility, readability, and reproduction quality, the logos should never be reproduced below the recommended minimum sizes shown below.

Incorrect Usage
These uses of the logo are never allowed.
Logos must be in the approved colors, on a simple, solid background.
DO NOT:
- Change the color or fonts
- Add drop shadows
- Separate the elements
- Change logo to outlines
- Place logo over image or pattern
- Stretch or compress logo
- Tilt the logo
Note to Vendors and Printers
It is essential that vendors and printers do not attempt to recreate or construct the Blinn College District logo. The lettering and proportions of the logo have been custom designed specifically for Blinn and must not be altered in any way.
All vendors licensed through CLC must download and use the official, authorized logo files containing the original artwork. The logo may not be reproduced by scanning or copying from previously printed materials. “Second-generation” artwork compromises image quality, distorts proportions, and diminishes the integrity of the Blinn brand.
