Engineering Club

NASA

The Engineering Club promotes scholarship, develops leadership and professionalism, and cultivates fellowship among students within the engineering discipline. The club meets every other Monday at 4:30 p.m. in S.T.E.I. 115 on the Brenham Campus (map).

In 2019, the Engineering Club was named Blinn’s Student Organization of the Year. Diane Hoff, Engineering Club Public Relations Officer, was named Student Officer of the Year and Ashley Hermes was named Student Organization Advisor of the Year. Among its many activities, the Engineering Club hosted speakers on a variety of topics, including professional business etiquette, resumes and cover letters, interview prep and etiquette, chemical engineering and 3D metal additive printing, and mechanical engineering. The Club also took trips to the NASA Space Center in Houston and RemChem, a chemical engineering firm in Brenham. Members volunteer at the Boys & Girls Club, Brenham Animal Shelter, and the CARS reading program at Brenham ISD, and also host an annual meal ticket fundraiser to support its variety of activities.
