ADDENDUM
to the
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
for
BRENHAM INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
and
BLINN COLLEGE DISTRICT
This Addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding (“Addendum”) is made and entered into August 1, 2026 (“Addendum Effective Date”) between Brenham Independent School District (“BISD”), and Blinn College District (“Blinn College”).
WHEREAS, Brenham Independent School District (BISD) and Blinn College District (Blinn College) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), dated July 31, 2024, which established a collaborative partnership to support Brenham High School (BHS), a high school offering traditionally underserved students the opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and college credit hours towards Associate's and Bachelor's degrees. This MOU outlined the Parties' collaboration in serving grades 9-12, with potential expansion to grades 6-8, to develop students' academic skills, critical thinking, and commitment to success in higher education and the workforce; and
WHEREAS, BISD and Blinn College District wish to amend the MOU to incorporate an updated course crosswalk, which is hereby incorporated into the MOU and will apply to the current student body.
NOW, THEREFORE, in contemplation of the established relationship between the parties and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the parties agree to revise as follows:
-
Appendix D: Dual Credit Course Crosswalk is hereby incorporated into this Memorandum of Understanding. In accordance with the originally executed MOU, each participating school district retains the authority to determine which courses it will offer for dual credit. The courses selected by each district are reflected in the newly added Appendix D and shall apply to all students pursuant to this agreement.
-
To reaffirm the existing obligations, the provision on page 12 of the MOU stating that “Students identified as FAST eligible will not incur the cost of required textbooks or additional resources required for the class(es). Cost of books and additional resources will be provided by the District” applies to all dual credit courses selected by each district and included in Appendix D.
Except as set forth in this Addendum, the remaining terms and conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, each party has caused this Addendum to be executed as of the date set forth below.
