  • Complete all coursework and program requirements for your degree, certificate, or occupational skills award during the semester you apply.
  • Pay all outstanding balances with the Business Office.
  • Clear all holds on your student account.
  • After applying for graduation and the application is reviewed by the graduation office, students will receive an email confirming they are in progress to graduate in the Spring 2026. • Students graduating with an Associate of Arts (AA) will attend the Wednesday, May 6 ceremony.
  • Students graduating with an Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Certificate (CERT2 or CT) or Occupational Skills Award (OS) will attend the Thursday, May 7 ceremony.
  • Students who are earning both an AA and AS degree should attend the Wednesday, May 6 ceremony.
  • For students earning multiple degrees, certificates and occupational skills awards, can email grad@blinn.edu with any questions regarding the ceremony date.

  • The ceremony will be held at the Brenham High School Auditorium. Please see the map below.
  • Do not arrive before 5 p.m. Staff will not be available earlier in the day.
  • A come-and-go reception for graduates and guests, hosted by the Blinn College Alumni and Friends Association, will take place from 5:00–5:45 p.m.
  • Check-in and guest seating begins at 5 p.m. Graduates must arrive no later than 5:30 p.m. Please plan accordingly for travel time and parking so you do not arrive late to the ceremony. Please refer to the map at the end of this document for general directions to the venue.
  • The procession begins promptly at 5:50 p.m.
  • Graduates arriving after 6 p.m. may not be able to participate.
  • There is no rehearsal, but Blinn staff will guide you throughout the event.
  • During check-in, you’ll receive a name card for stage presentation and photography.
  • Graduates will line up by award type (Students graduating with AA will attend the May 6 ceremony. Students graduating with AS, AAS, certificate, or occupational skills will attend the May 7 ceremony and will line up by the award type).

  • Please leave personal items (bags, jackets, phones, etc.) with your guests or in your vehicle. Blinn College is not responsible for lost items.

During the Ceremony

  • Tassels should be worn on the right side of your cap.
  • Graduates will walk in single file and stand until the invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, and National Anthem are complete (men, please remove caps).
  • At check-in, you will receive a card with your name and award listed. Keep this card until you reach the stage, then give it to the reader. The card will be used to announce your name and provide contact information for the photographer.
  • When your name is called, walk across the stage to receive your scroll and shake hands with the vice chancellors, chancellor, and members of the Board of Trustees.
  • After crossing the stage, take your photo with the photographer, then return to your seat.
  • Diplomas, certificates, and occupational skills awards will not be distributed at the ceremony.
