Since the Blinn College District first opened its doors in 1883, it has been committed to being an educational leader, not only in Washington County and the Brazos Valley, but throughout the state of Texas. Blinn's commitment to building stronger communities and empowering students is reflected in its accomplishments over the past 140 years. To maintain its place as one of the premier community colleges in the nation, Blinn must continue to plan for the future with both short- and long-term planning and a clear, streamlined vision for the College District’s future. THE BLINN COLLEGE DISTRICT ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 7.25 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $3.40.
