Theatre Arts

Through Blinn’s Theatre Arts Program, you enjoy a complete theatre arts experience, where you not only learn the theories behind the theatre, but also can gain hands-on technical theatre and performance experience. Blinn theatre arts graduates can enter the workforce immediately or transfer to the state’s leading universities, including Texas A&M, the University of North Texas, Sam Houston State, the University of Houston, Southern Methodist University, Colorado State, UTSA, and Texas State.

Registration opens soon for May, Summer, and Fall classes!

Registration for May minimester and summer classes opens for all students at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 1st. Registration for fall classes opens at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 3rd. For assistance, contact Academic Advising or call Enrollment Services at 979-830-4800. You also can schedule a tour of any of our six campuses!

Blinn theatre arts courses transfer to bachelor’s degree programs at universities across the nation, including Texas A&M, the University of North Texas, Sam Houston State, the University of Houston, Southern Methodist University, Colorado State, UTSA, and Texas State.  Speak to an academic advisor at your university of choice to see how Blinn credits will apply toward your specific degree plan.

According to the Texas Workforce Commission, a degree in theatre arts can prepare students for a variety of careers, such as actor, producer, director, and high school drama teacher.
