Prairie View A&M-Blinn PASS Program

Prairie View A&M University and the Blinn College District have partnered to create a new co-enrollment pathway that allows students to begin their college experience at both institutions while working toward full enrollment at PVAMU.

Through the Prairie View A&M-Blinn PASS (Partnership for Academic Success and Support) Program, participating students enroll simultaneously at Prairie View A&M and Blinn, completing most of their coursework at Blinn's Waller location while also taking courses at the nearby PVAMU campus.

The inaugural PASS cohort will begin classes in fall 2027.

A Partnership Focused on Student Success

"This partnership represents an exciting new chapter in the relationship between the Blinn College District and Prairie View A&M University. By bringing together the strengths and resources of both institutions, PASS will provide students a supportive, affordable pathway toward their bachelor's degree while allowing them to experience the Prairie View A&M community from the beginning of their college journey."

Experience Both Institutions

PASS students take a minimum of 12 combined credit hours during fall and spring semesters, including 3–6 hours at PVAMU and the remainder through Blinn. At least one PVAMU course each semester applies toward the student's intended degree pathway.

As members of both college communities, PASS students have access to student services, academic advising, activities, and organizations at both institutions. Students also are eligible to live on the Prairie View A&M campus and receive academic support from advisors at both PVAMU and Blinn.

How PASS Works

Students do not apply directly to PASS. PVAMU identifies eligible freshman applicants and invites selected students to participate.

PASS students begin their college experience enrolled at both institutions and work toward the requirements for full transition to PVAMU.
