Blinn College to host Paralegal and Legal Studies Program information sessions
Info sessions will highlight flexible learning options and career pathways in the legal field
November 6, 2026
The Blinn College District will host three information sessions for prospective students interested in enrolling in its Paralegal and Legal Studies Program and playing an integral role in the justice system.
All three information sessions will be held via Zoom, with two also available in person:
- Friday, Nov. 20, Noon (Zoom and in-person at the Bryan Campus Library)
- Wednesday, Nov. 25, 10 a.m. (Zoom only)
- Monday, Nov. 30, 6 p.m. (Zoom and in-person at the Bryan Campus Library)
Designed for individuals planning to enroll at Blinn, the sessions will provide an overview of the program’s Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, certificate, and occupational skills award options, along with course formats, curriculum, and career pathways.
“Students in our program learn from professionals who have firsthand experience working in the legal system,” said Robert Stanberry, Department Head. “Because all of our faculty are attorneys or judges, they bring practical perspectives, professional insight, and a strong understanding of the legal field to every course, helping students build a solid foundation for their future careers.”
Blinn’s program offers flexible course delivery options to meet students’ needs. Courses are available in person, in fully online recorded formats, and as “live online” classes that allow students to participate in real-time instruction remotely. These small, interactive classes are offered during both daytime and evening hours, allowing students to select the format that best fits their schedules.
The program provides a comprehensive foundation in major areas of law while also allowing students to explore specialized topics through elective coursework. Graduates are prepared for a wide range of legal careers as paralegals, legal assistants, and legal support staff in settings such as law firms, corporate legal departments, and government agencies. Students completing the AAS degree are eligible to sit for the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) certification exam.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, legal assistants earn a median salary of $62,890 per year.
