Blinn College Buccaneer Band announces fall performance schedule

Fall lineup includes marching performances, concerts, and the popular ‘Sounds of the Season’

The Blinn College Buccaneer Band will showcase its versatility throughout the fall 2026 semester with a full schedule of performances ranging from football halftime shows and marching competition to jazz, chamber music, and the popular Sounds of the Season holiday concert.

The fall schedule includes:

• Buccaneer Band Alumni Day — Sept. 19, 7 p.m., Brenham High School’s Cub Stadium, 1600 E. Tom Green St. Buccaneer Band alumni are invited to join current band members for a special halftime performance during the Blinn-Navarro College football game. The performance will feature selections by Billy Joel.
• 51st Buccaneer Marching Festival — Sept. 26, Cub Stadium. The all-day festival will feature preliminary and finals competition for bands in classifications 1A through 4A. Bands in classifications 5A and 6A also are welcome to participate as non-competing bands and receive critiques and preliminary performance recordings. Admission is $5 for spectators and free for children ages 12 and under.
• Buccaneer Band-Blinn Choir Karaoke Day — Oct. 3, 7 p.m., Cub Stadium. The Blinn Choir and Buccaneer Marching Band will team up during the Blinn-Snow College football game for a crowd-pleasing halftime show featuring favorites such as “Sweet Caroline,” “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” “YMCA,” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
• Chamber Ensembles — Dec. 2, 7 p.m., Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center, 600 Blinn Boulevard on the Brenham Campus. Admission is free.
• Jazz Ensemble — Dec. 3, 7 p.m., O’Donnell Center. Admission is free.
• Symphonic Band — Dec. 4, 7 p.m., O’Donnell Center. Admission is free.
• Sounds of the Season — Dec. 5, 3 p.m., Festival Hill, 248 Jaster Road in Round Top. Blinn’s acclaimed Wind Symphony and combined choirs will celebrate the holidays with a performance in Festival Hill’s historic 800-seat concert hall. Tickets are $10 and are available at www.blinn.edu/boxoffice.
• Percussion Ensemble — Dec. 7, 7 p.m., O’Donnell Performing Arts Center. Admission is free.

The Buccaneer Band is part of Blinn’s acclaimed Music Department, which offers an Associate of Arts degree on the Brenham Campus and a wide range of performance opportunities.

For students who enjoyed participating in band in high school, Blinn provides an opportunity to continue performing in college while pursuing virtually any field of study. Music majors and non-majors alike can participate in band, choir, chamber ensembles, individual performance, composition, and other musical experiences.
