Singers from across the region are invited to raise their voices with the Blinn College District’s Tuesday Evening Choral Society this fall.
Open to Blinn employees and community members ages 16 and older, the Choral Society brings local singers together with Blinn concert choir students for weekly rehearsals and a performance at the College’s annual “Sounds of the Season” concert.
“We invite singers to join us from throughout the region – Brenham, Bellville, Hempstead, Somerville, Chappell Hill, Burton, Navasota – all are welcome,” said Dr. Larry Smith, Choir Director.
Membership is free, and registration remains open through the end of September. Rehearsals begin Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m. and will be held each Tuesday in Room 160 of the Machat Music Facility, 1005 College Ave., on the Brenham Campus.
Interested singers can register by emailing Smith at larry.smith@blinn.edu, calling 979-830-4239, or attending a Tuesday rehearsal.
The Choral Society will perform alongside Blinn singers at the annual “Sounds of the Season” concert Saturday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m. at Festival Hill in Round Top.
