Blinn College to host Paralegal and Legal Studies Program information sessions in April

Free sessions will highlight flexible learning options and career pathways in the legal field

April 1, 2026

The Blinn College District will host three information sessions in April for prospective students interested in enrolling in its Paralegal and Legal Studies Program and pursuing a career in the legal field.

The sessions will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, April 14, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m.; and Wednesday, April 22, at 7 p.m. The April 14 session also will offer an in-person attendance option at the Blinn College-Bryan Campus Library.

Designed for individuals planning to enroll at Blinn, the sessions will provide an overview of the program’s Associate of Applied Science degree, certificate, and occupational skills award options, along with course formats, curriculum, and career pathways.

“The Blinn Paralegal and Legal Studies Program prepares students for success in a wide range of legal careers,” said Robert Stanberry, Department Head. “Our courses are taught by experienced attorneys and judges who bring real-world insight into the classroom, giving students both the practical skills and foundational knowledge needed to succeed.”

Blinn offers flexible course delivery options to meet students’ needs. Courses are available in fully online recorded formats as well as “live online” classes that allow students to participate in real-time instruction from their own computers. These small, interactive classes are offered during both daytime and evening hours, allowing students to select the format that best fits their schedules.

The program provides a comprehensive foundation in major areas of law while also allowing students to explore specialized topics through elective coursework. Graduates are prepared for careers as paralegals, legal assistants, and legal support professionals in law firms, corporate legal departments, and government agencies. Students completing the Associate of Applied Science degree are eligible to sit for the National Association of Legal Assistants certification exam.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, legal assistants earn a median annual salary of $61,010.

Prospective students can register for an information session and learn more about the program at www.blinn.edu/paralegal. For additional information, contact Stanberry at robert.stanberry@blinn.edu or 979-209-7399.
