Blinn College Faculty Senate Meeting Agenda
Location: Brenham Campus, New Science Building (STEI) #105
Welcome and Call to Order to the monthly meeting of Faculty Senate. Reminder of procedural items (Dustin Levien, Parliamentarian).
Public Comment: Part of the usual agenda program will be to permit members of the faculty and the public to sign up to make comment at the physical location of the event. Sign up for comment must be entered a minimum of 5 minutes before the start of the meeting. Comments shall be limited to three minutes and this is the area of the proceedings when such comment will be made.

- Board of Trustees meeting:
- New Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Artificial Intelligence and in Artificial Intelligence in Business.
- Spring graduation divided into two sessions.
- Facilities updates.
- Chancellor Chat in Brenham: Waller campus.
- DLAC report from invited guest, Kristin Saltsman
Old Business:
- Approval of Minutes from 6 February 2026 (Jill Oliver, Secretary).
- Response to question about service points for Division Senators (with Jill Oliver).
- Response to question about movement between positions of elected and appointed Senators.
- Service points for attending graduation/pinning ceremonies or student events such as theatrical performances and sporting events.
New Business:
- Solidifying the representational nature of our positions as Division Senators. “Town Hall” type meetings with Division Senators and constituents.
- Renewed questions about how to cope with student engagement (or absence of it) and AI-generation platforms. Sharing of policies (divisional and individual).
- Other thoughts?

- Reminder: Division Senator elections for Workforce, MBET, Humanities, and Social Sciences to be held for reporting at the April 10th Faculty Senate meeting. Let me know as soon as possible who will serve as elected Division Senator.
