Dental Clinic

The Blinn College District's Dental Hygiene Program offers its own dental hygiene clinic located at 301 Post Office Street in Bryan. Services include:

  • oral examinations,
  • head and neck cancer screenings,
  • periodontal evaluation,
  • x-rays,
  • dental cleanings,
  • non-surgical periodontal therapy,
  • fluoride treatments,
  • pit and fissure sealants,
  • and several risk assessments.

Dental services such as fillings and extractions are NOT offered at the dental hygiene clinic.

Anyone can request an appointment with the clinic. Services are provided by dental hygiene students under the supervision of a general dentist and dental hygiene faculty, all of whom are licensed in the State of Texas. Since this dental hygiene clinic is an educational setting, students are in the process of learning to perform thorough assessments and services. Therefore, multiple visits should be expected and time spent in the dental hygiene clinic will be longer than a typical visit to the dentist.

Fees

Fees for the clinic are $20 per treatment plan and cover all services performed for that plan. If you are in need of a shorter recare interval following the completion of your treatment plan, such as a three-month recare, and we are able to accommodate your needs at our clinic within the same semester, you will be charged $20 for the recare appointment. You are not charged for multiple appointments required under a single treatment plan.

Appointments

Adults: Generally, all potential adult patients must be screened prior to being accepted as a patient to the clinic. A student and/or faculty member will evaluate each patient's needs at the screening appointment so they are placed with a student who can best serve their needs. The screening is free of charge and takes 20-30 minutes. It is not guaranteed that all potential patients will be contacted and accommodated. As each semester draws close to completion, the students will be limited in the number of new patients they can see.

Children: Screenings are NOT required for children, up to age 17.

To make an appointment for screening, recare, and treatment for children, call 979-209-7283, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Please leave a message if your call is not answered. For treatment, a student will call to schedule an appointment.

Parking
