Music - Field of Study

Music - Field of Study

Program Description: The Associate of Arts - Field of Study in Music is intended to match, within the constraints of the Core Curriculum, the course of study for the first two years of a typical music program at a four-year college or university. It also provides the flexibility for students desiring only an associate degree to specialize the program to individual interests.

Specializations

All Music Students: Participation in chamber ensembles during all semesters at Blinn College is required.  Credit Hours earned outside of this degree plan may transfer to 4-year institution.  Please consult with individual ensemble directors for placement.  Additionally, participation in other large ensembles in addition to parent ensemble is permitted with permission from ensemble directors.

Vocal Majors: Classes in Vocal Diction must be taken during offered semesters.  Courses will transfer to 4-year degree plans, even though they will not appear on Blinn College Degree Plan.
