Blinn’s 2026 summer camp offerings include:

Experienced Livestock Judging Camp (May 26–28, Ages 14+)

Designed for 4-H and FFA members with prior judging experience, this camp focuses on advanced evaluation techniques, including oral reasons, cattle grading, and decision-making for keep/cull. Participants will work alongside Blinn faculty, coaching staff, and current and former members of the livestock judging team while evaluating both breeding and market animals. Campers also will tour the Blinn College-Brenham Campus and the W.J. “Bill” Rankin Agricultural Complex, including the College’s livestock handling facilities.

Novice Livestock Judging Camp (May 29–31, Ages 8–13)

Ideal for beginners, this camp introduces the fundamentals of livestock judging in a supportive, hands-on environment. Participants will learn basic evaluation skills, note-taking strategies, how to answer questions, and receive an introduction to oral reasons. Like the experienced camp, students will evaluate breeding and market animals and gain exposure to Blinn’s agricultural facilities.

Softball ID Camp (June 2)

Blinn College softball will host a one-day Talent ID Camp at Hohlt Park in Brenham for prospective student athletes. The camp is open to students in the Classes of 2027 and 2028, with limited walk-on consideration for 2026 graduates, and is designed to evaluate players at all positions.

The camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes skills testing, defensive and offensive evaluations, and a question-and-answer session with the Blinn coaching staff. Participants will take part in two on-field sessions separated by a lunch break.

Registration is limited to 40 participants and costs $100, payable at check-in (cash or check made out to Blinn College Softball Club). To register, students must email head coach Rick Church with their name, contact information, graduation year, position, high school, and travel ball team. Campers should bring their own equipment, a signed waiver (completed on site), and a sack lunch.

AI and Cybersecurity Camp (July 6–10)

Hosted at the Blinn College Innovation Center on the Brenham Campus, this immersive camp introduces high school students to the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Running daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the camp is taught by Blinn faculty alongside guest instructors from around the world.

Participants will engage in hands-on activities and real-world simulations covering topics such as network security, ethical hacking, and emerging AI technologies. Students will collaborate on interactive projects designed to strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking skills while gaining practical experience with industry-relevant tools.

Enrollment is limited to 22 students and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The $100 registration fee includes lunch, snacks, and camp-issued electronics, which participants will keep at the conclusion of the camp.

Youth Football Camp (July 7–9)

Blinn College will host a three-day Youth Football Camp for boys and girls entering grades 1–8 at Spencer Field on the Brenham Campus. Held from 6-8 p.m. each evening, the camp focuses on teaching fundamental football skills essential to player development, including passing, catching, blocking, tackling, and overall game awareness.

Led by experienced coaches, the camp emphasizes technique, teamwork, and sportsmanship through structured drills and activities in a fun and supportive environment. The cost is $100 per camper, with cash payments accepted in person on the first day of camp.

Volleyball Camp (July 13–16)

Blinn College’s Volleyball Camp, held at the Kruse Center in Brenham, offers athletes of all ages the opportunity to develop their skills under the direction of the Blinn coaching staff. Training sessions are organized by age group to ensure instruction is tailored to each participant’s experience level.

High school athletes will attend sessions July 13–16 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. ($50 per day), while middle school and junior high students (grades 5–8) will train July 15–16 from 3-5 p.m. ($40 per day). Elementary students will participate July 13–14 from 3-5 p.m. ($40 per day).
