Prospective students planning to attend the Blinn College District in fall 2027 can take their first step toward becoming a Buccaneer now that Blinn’s admissions, endowed scholarship, and Brenham Campus housing applications are open.

Students and their families can visit www.blinn.edu/apply for a step-by-step guide to help them navigate the enrollment process and prepare for the fall 2027 semester.

From there, prospective students can:

· apply for admission to Blinn;

· complete Blinn’s endowed scholarship application, which allows students to apply for more than 350 scholarships through a single application; and

· apply for Brenham Campus housing, if applicable.

“This is an exciting time for students to begin planning for fall 2027,” said Dr. Becky McBride, Vice Chancellor for Student Services. “Whether they are applying to Blinn, exploring scholarship opportunities, or planning to live on the Brenham Campus, we want to make those first steps as clear and manageable as possible. Getting started early can make the entire college planning process feel much easier.”

Students interested in living on the Brenham Campus are encouraged to apply for housing early. Blinn’s residential campus lets students live close to classes, dining, student activities, athletics, and other campus resources. A fee is required to submit the Brenham Campus housing application.

Blinn offers students an affordable pathway to their academic and career goals. The College has the highest transfer rate among Texas community colleges, and students save 52% in tuition and general fees compared to the average Texas public university. With six campuses, convenient online programs, highly regarded academic transfer programs, industry-developed workforce training, small class sizes, and an array of student support services, Blinn gives students a strong foundation for their next step.

The opening of Blinn’s fall 2027 applications comes just ahead of Texas Free College Application Week, Oct. 12-18. During the statewide initiative, Texas public colleges and universities waive application fees for eligible applicants. At Blinn, however, students never have to wait for a special week to apply for free because Blinn does not charge an admissions application fee.
