The Blinn College Alumni and Friends Association invites travelers to discover the history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes of Scandinavia during its next Buccaneer Expeditions adventure.

In partnership with Collette Tours, the Alumni and Friends Association will host “Discover Spectacular Scandinavia,” a 15-day journey through Sweden, Denmark, and Norway from June 16-30, 2027.

Those interested in learning more about the trip are invited to a special travel presentation at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, in the Blinn College-Brenham Campus Student Center, located at 1007 Walter Schwartz Way in Brenham. The presentation will provide an overview of the itinerary, travel arrangements, pricing, and other details for prospective travelers.

The trip is part of Buccaneer Expeditions, the Alumni and Friends Association’s travel program offering Blinn alumni, friends, and community members opportunities to explore destinations together.

The Scandinavian journey begins in Stockholm, Sweden, where travelers will explore the historic streets of Gamla Stan, visit Stockholm City Hall and the Vasa Museum, and see landmarks including the Royal Palace and Parliament. From Stockholm, the group will travel by train to Gothenburg, visit Sofiero Palace, and continue to Copenhagen, Denmark.

In Copenhagen, travelers will explore the colorful Nyhavn waterfront, Amalienborg Palace, the Little Mermaid statue, and Tivoli Gardens, with additional time available to experience the city independently.

The tour then continues to Norway, beginning in Oslo before heading into the country’s renowned fjord region. Highlights include the medieval Borgund Stave Church, the village of Flåm, and a journey aboard the famed Flåm Railway, which climbs approximately 3,000 feet through dramatic mountain scenery, waterfalls, and valleys.

Travelers also will experience a cruise through Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its towering mountains and spectacular waterfalls, including the Seven Sisters, Bridal Veil, and Suitor. The journey concludes in Bergen, where participants will explore the historic Bryggen harbor district and ride the Fløibanen funicular for panoramic views of the city.

The tour includes 15 days of travel and 20 meals. Round-trip air from Houston, air taxes and fees, hotel transfers, and transportation between destinations are included.

Prices begin at $8,149 per person for double occupancy and $10,049 for single occupancy. Those rates reflect a $250 savings available through Dec. 17, 2026. Single accommodations are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Optional cancellation waiver and travel insurance are available for an additional $599 per person.

The tour includes guided walking tours and other activities that require travelers to be comfortable with a moderate level of physical activity.
