Blinn College-Schulenburg to showcase programs at April 9 Preview Night

Students and families can learn about admissions, programs, financial aid, and scholarships

Area high school students and their families are invited to explore the educational opportunities available at the Blinn College-Schulenburg Campus during Preview Night on Thursday, April 9.

The event begins at 6 p.m. in the Liberal Arts Building, Room 120, at 100 Ranger Drive, with convenient parking available in the Black Street lot on campus.

Preview Night will introduce prospective students and their families to the admissions process, academic programs, financial aid opportunities, and available scholarships. Attendees also will enjoy complimentary snacks, participate in campus tours, and have the opportunity to win door prizes.

Students who attend may register for a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship to attend classes on the Schulenburg Campus.

“This event gives students and families the chance to see firsthand how Blinn-Schulenburg supports student success,” Executive Dean Dr. Becky Garlick said. “From workforce training to transfer degrees, our small class sizes and personalized support help students build a strong and affordable pathway toward their future.

“Choosing the Schulenburg Campus is also a smart financial decision. Students can live at home while earning college credit, saving significantly on housing and living expenses while receiving a high-quality education close to home.”

The Schulenburg Campus offers a variety of degree and certificate programs, including business, criminal justice, education, liberal arts, and many more.

Blinn students save approximately 52% in tuition and general fees compared to the average state university and transfer to four-year universities at a higher rate than any other community college in the state.
