Four Blinn College students have been elected to leadership positions in Texas Junior College Student Government Association (SGA) Region Six.

Hallie Ikenberry, a student at the Blinn College-Bryan Campus, will serve as president of the organization’s executive board. Ikenberry was elected at the SGA Region Six meeting held recently at Hill College.

Treyce Tiemann, a Brenham Campus student, will serve as vice president. Charlie Dumesnil Jr. of the Schulenburg Campus will serve as treasurer, and Kimiko Ritter of the Bryan Campus will be parliamentarian. Dumesnil was parliamentarian of the SGA Region Six Executive Board for the past year.

“The Student Government Association is a great place for students to develop a variety of skillsets around leadership and engaging with others,” said Ryan Miller, Director of Student Leadership and Activities. “Students involved in the organization can learn about a variety of ways to interact within groups while having fun, traveling across the state, and building skills that will help them well beyond our campus and towards their post-graduation goals.”

Blinn will host the spring 2025 SGA Region Six meeting.

Blinn SGAs looks to develop student leadership, serve as a liaison between students and college administration, represent the voice of the Blinn student body, and make improvements in all areas of campus life. For more information, visit www.blinn.edu/student-leadership-activities.
