Blinn Board of Trustees adopts updated redistricting map
Redistricting map aligns with the Washington County commissioner precinct map

In response to the 2020 census, the Blinn College District Board of Trustees adopted a redistricting resolution and map that aligns with the Washington County commissioners precinct map. Blinn has a long history of adopting trustee precincts identical to Washington County’s four commissioner precincts.
The board also received an update regarding the College’s policy priorities for the 88th Session of the Texas Legislature that begins in January 2023. The College anticipates placing an agenda item before the board at a future meeting once the final report from the Texas Commission on Community College Finance has been released and its findings are drafted into bill format.
At the meeting, Precinct 2 Trustee Douglas Borchardt announced that he will not run for re-election when his term expires in May 2023. Borchardt was first elected to the board in 2010.
