The recent Boots and Blue Jeans fundraiser raised more than $20,000 for scholarships and program development at the Blinn College-Sealy Campus.
“I was very pleased with the turnout,” said Lisa Caton, Executive Dean at Blinn-Sealy. “We also had several individuals and businesses attend and make donations to the silent auction for the first time. It was very encouraging to see the support from the community.”
This is the sixth year that the Blinn College Foundation has sponsored Boots and Blue Jeans.
Caton said the fundraiser included a $10,000 gift from the Mark Chapman Foundation.
“We are very grateful to the Chapman Foundation for the generous donation,” she said.
