• Use clinical reasoning and clinical judgement based on the nursing program of study and evidence-based practice as a basis for development of a patient-centered plan of care, incorporating holistic care principles.
• Manage information, access available resources, and use technology to support decision-making and improve patient care.
• Promote safety and quality improvement as a provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate & member of the healthcare team.
• Practice effectively using therapeutic communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making skills with patients, families, and the interprofessional healthcare team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• Adopt a professional identity (knowledge, values/ ethics, professional comportment, & nurse as leader) as a registered nurse that reflects a commitment to nursing practice and regulatory frameworks.​

The Blinn College ADN program’s expected levels of achievement are:

62% of all students in the Associate Degree Nursing program who begin in the first nursing course (after the official roster day) will complete the program on time (4 semesters for traditional students and 3 semesters for transition students).

80% of all students in the Associate Degree Nursing program who begin in the first nursing course (after the official roster day) will complete the program.
