Approval pending on board approval for a few issues.

Bylaws and updates – The committee is waiting on the update to board policiesconcerning committee membership and appropriate designation of members.

  1. Curriculum Committee and Curriculog Training

Training will be held during Fall Convocation.

Training will be around Fall convocation time. The training will cover how curriculum committee works, procedures and how the committee works and how to use curriculog.

    1. New Course: ITAI 1370

Carol Wiggins presented: The courses were presented with a 1390 number which signifies a special topics course and the 7 indicates a local needs course according to workforce. A special topics must have a current rubric that already exists. ITAI does not have a rubric. No changes have been made to the courses. The course numbers will be changed from a 9 to a 7. The changes were approved by the advisory committee

A motion to approve was made by Justin Nobels and a second by Amy Winningham.

    1. New Course: ITAI 1371 Contact hours due to a lecture/lab hours change have been noted.

  1. Health Sciences
    1. Course Change: PTHA 2345 – Rehabilitation Techniques

Add lab hours

Kelsey Maki presented. WECM change the learning outcomes to a knowledge-based and cognitive-based objectives to psychomotor skill objectives to an increase in contact hours from lab time of 48 to 64 hours. The advisory committee was informed that the changes were needed and a final vote will be conducted in the Spring for formal approval.

A motion to approve was made by Michelle Marburger and seconded by Richard Hobbs.

    1. Program Change: AAS Paramedic to RN transition

Kayla Ross – License of LVN or EMT can transition to RN. Learning objectives are aligned. Change the transition class Lab RNSG1140 and the transition course RNSG1417 replaced with RNSG1517, concepts of nursing course include lab (2 hr) and lecture (3 hr). The degree hours will not change. This combined course will help with enrollment for either program if they are low. Fees will not change. Advisor Curriculum resource team has approved the change. The advisory board is aware of the changes. The humanities elective was altered to allow a variety of courses as an acceptable option.

    1. Course Deletion: RNSG 1140 – Professional Nursing Skills for Articulating Students

This course will be replaced with RNSG1517. A motion to approve the deletion was made by Michelle Marburger and seconded by Justin Nobles.

    1. Course Deletion: RNSG 1417 – Concepts of Professional Nursing Practice for Articulating Students. This course will be replaced with RNSG1517.

    1. Course Change: VNSG 1262 – Clinical -Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse

Michelle Marburger Clinical courses for vocation nurses. The proposed change is from pass fail to a numerical grade. A new rubric is going to be used to quantify student proficiency. A motion to approve the change was made by Brandon Franke and seconded by Justin Nobles.

    1. Course Change: VNSG 1360 – Clinical -Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training

The proposed change is from pass fail to a numerical grade. A new rubric is going to be used to quantify student proficiency.

Elmer Godeny – This course was on the books as place holders for transfer students. This course is not used anymore, so the course is being deleted.

The motion passed as determined by a Teams poll of the committee.

    1. Course Deletion: PHYS 2000 – Sophomore Physics Transfer

This course was on books as place holders for transfer students. This course is not used anymore so the course is being deleted. A motion to approve the course deletion was made by motion Justin Nobles and second by Brandon Franke.
