Bryan Behnke – Brenham ISD has requested that these pathways be reopened with the addition of a new class. These programs have been reviewed by SACCS and approval to reopen these pathways has been granted. The advisory board approval will be obtained once the board is reconstituted. The courses do not have a degree pathway at the moment.

    1. Program Change: Animal Science Pathway – Level 1 Dual Credit
    2. Program Change: Applied Agricultural Engineering Pathway – Level 1 Dual Credit

Both items will be considered as batch for approval.

    1. Course Change: CBFM 2386 Internship – Building/Property Maintenance and Manager

Marshall Rich- This change involves an increase in hours and a prerequisite course change. The program is changing from two internships to one with an increase in hours. These changes have been approved by the advisory board.

Motion to approve Brandon Franke, seconded by Elmer Godney.

  1. New Course: HART 2338 – Air Conditioning Installation and Startup
  2. New Course: HART 1407 – Refrigeration Principles
  3. New Course: HART 1256 – EPA Recovery Preparation Certification

Marshall Rich – HART1356 HART1307 are replaced by HART1256 and HART1407. HART 2338 is replacing the current internship.

Motion to approve as a batch by Richard Hobbs with a second by Elmer Godeny

  1. Course Change: CBFM 2386 Internship – Building/Property Maintenance and Manager
  2. New Course: CRPT 1429 – Introduction to Carpentry

Intro to carpentry is moving to 4 credit hours with more lab time

Marshall Rich – Consider course changes HART1341, HART1345, HART1401, HART2331 HART 2334, HART2324 2336 2342 2349 HART 2358 The changes are to fix the prerequisites, co-requisites for the courses to be AAS compliant.

The advisory committee has approved these changes.

A motion was made by Richard Hobbs to consider and approve these changes as a batch. The motion was seconded by Victoria Fowler

  1. New Course: CNBT 1302 – Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing Systems in Construction I
  2. New Course: CNBT 2440 - Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing Systems in Construction II

Marshall Rich- These course are in residential and light commercial construction courses replacing specific electrical and plumbing classes in the facilities maintenance program. These changes have been approved by the advisory board.

A motion to consider and approve as a batch was made by Michelee Trubenstein and seconded by Victoria Fowleer.

  1. Program Change: OSA – Welding Technology
  2. Program Change: Certificate Level 1 – Welding Technology
  3. Program Change: Certificate Level II – Welding Technology
  4. Program Change: Associates of Applied Sciences – Welding Technology

Marshall Rich - The course changes are based on faculty and advisory board recommendations for adding a safety course earlier in the program.

A motion to consider these changes as a batch and approve these changes was made by Elmer Godeny with a second by Michelle Trubenstein.

MBET

    1. New Course: ITAI 1390 – AI History, Theory, & Platforms
    2. New Course: ITAI 1391 – Introduction to Machine Learning
    3. New Course: ITAI 1392- AI in Industry
    4. New Course: ITAI 2392 – AI Applications and Case Histories
    5. New Course: ITAI 2397 – Data Science in Artificial Intelligence
    6. New Course: ITSE 1391 – Special Topics in Computer Programming

Carol Wiggins -These new courses are in the support of AI for AAS and OSA pathway certificates. These courses are both technical and non-technical that can support business courses. These course changes do not represent substantive changes, so a prospectus submission to SACCS is not needed.. Since these do not represent substantive changes, no SACCS approval is needed. ITAI are new prefix for course enrollment. Special topic and local needs prefix until the prefixes are adopted by WEKAM.

Considered as a batch for approval, Motion Marshall Rich and seconded by Brandon Franke.
