- New Course: AGMG 1364 Practicum-Farm and Ranch Management
Bryan Behnke - Brenham ISD needed a technical dual credit course to align with a TEEX pathway program. AGMG 1364 is a higher-level course number for AGMG1164. The content is the same and satisfies the hours requirement for the Pathway program. This course is currently being used by Royal ISD for the plant sciences program. Brenham ISD is expected to pick up the class next year and it is expected that an animal science pathway and an Agriculture engineering pathway will be added in the future. These courses do not have a direct pathway into an associate's degree but an new AAS program is likely going to be created. A similar program was just terminated. It is possible to restart a retired program without creating a new prospectus with the SECCOC if it falls within a 5 year window.
Brandon Franke motion to approve the new course. Shelly Peacock seconded the motion.
Vote: AKA 2Y, ATWED 2Y, HS 2Y, HUM 2Y, EMBET 2Y, NPS 2Y, SS 2Y. Motion is Approved.
- ATWED
- Course Change: CNBT 1210 – Technical & Community Education
Marshall Rich- CNBT is a basic construction safety course that is a prerequisite for several classes. As the program adds more industrial trade paths, CNBT1210 will be replaced by OSHT1220. Students can now take CNBT1210 or OSHT1220 to satisfy the safety prerequisite requirement. The course change for CNBT1220 is an increase in contact hours and weekly lab hours will be changed. This puts this course in line with the revised CTE manual. Brandon Franke motioned to approve these changes. The motions was seconded by Shelly Peacock.
Vote: AKA 2Y, ATWED 2Y, HS 2Y, HUM 2Y, EMBET 2Y, NPS 2Y, SS 2Y. Motion is Approved.

Marshall Rich – The changes for the listed prefixed WLDG course is to align the lab and lecture hours to match how the courses are being delivered. In addition, some of the course prerequisites and co-enrollment requirements were making it difficult for students to progress through the program. The prerequisites were adjusted to allow for easier progression through the program. One of the added courses is a OSHT Industrial safety course. CNBT1210 is the safety course required for the construction trades. OSHT1220 will be the industrial safety course for the Welding program and will be a prerequisite for all of the welding courses. OSHT1220 has been discussed and approved by the CRT and advisory board. These changes would go into effect for the Fall 2026 term.

- New Course: WLDG 1200 – Introduction to Welding
- New Course: WLDG 1327 - Welding Codes and Standards
- New Course: WLDG 1453 – Intermediate Layout and Fabrication
- New Course: WLDG 2435 - Adv. Layout and Fabrication
- New Course: WLDG 2388 - Internship - Welder/Weld Tech
Marshall Rich- The current WLDG1200 was a 4-hour course. This course is being split into two 2-hour courses based on the suggestions from the advisory committee that more fabrication instruction is needed in the welding courses. The change allows more specializations in welding and courses to cover the welding-specific codes and standards needed. For the internship course, there is a 240 total external hours requirement. To satisfy the 60 credit hour requirement, this course must go to a three hour course.
A motion was made to consider these courses as a batch by Elmer Godeny. The motion was seconded by Michelle Trubenstein.

Curriculum Committee Bylaws Subcommittee Update
Any changes to a program that are required due to a change in the coordinating board or specific accrediting body requirements do not have to be voted on by the curriculum committee. The reason for the change should be documented in Curriculog when the change is made.
Anyone designating a meeting proxy must pick someone not on the committee. If a proxy on the committee, is to be allowed, the bylaws will need to be changed. Curriculum committee records are currently kept in the Brenham library. Since records are now electronic, a physical location is no longer necessary.
Curriculog Training Development Update
A class for curriculog for course proposals will be scheduled for the spring during convocation.
