Blinn College District begins new era, breaks ground on the Waller Campus

The Blinn College District joined legislators, community partners, and residents on March 6, 2026, to celebrate the historic groundbreaking of the Blinn College-Waller Campus, marking a transformative moment for higher education in Waller and northwest Harris County.

Held at the future campus site at 29638 FM 2920 in Waller, the ceremony commemorated the official launch of Blinn’s sixth campus and the first building on the new 100-acre property. The Blinn Board of Trustees, elected officials, and community leaders participated in a ceremonial turning of the dirt to symbolize the beginning of construction and a long-term investment in the region’s students and workforce.

Blinn College District announces new Waller Workforce and Technical Education Complex

Blinn will open new facility to expand its Waller course offerings and support local industry needs.

Scheduled for completion in time for summer 2026 classes, the Waller Workforce and Technical Education Complex will feature three lecture classrooms, a computer learning lab, a medical learning lab, a mechatronics/advanced manufacturing lab, a skilled trades lab, and faculty and staff offices.

Earn your associate degree in mechatronics

In addition to its array of core academic courses, Blinn is offering the opportunity to earn occupational skills award, Level-1 and Level-2 certificates, and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in mechatronics in Waller!

At our state-of-the-art mechatronics lab, Blinn-Waller students will receive training on FluidPower, electricity system, MechLab Mechatronics Training System, mechanical systems, sensor equipment training, and industrial motor controls workstations, as well as universal robotic arms and programmable logic controllers trainers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Blinn College offers courses at a variety of locations in Waller, including Waller ISD’s W.C. Schultz Junior High School at 20950 Field Store Road and Waller High School at 31213 Waller Spring Creek Road. Beginning during the summer II term, Blinn will offer courses at the Waller Workforce and Technical Education Complex at 30029 Binford Park Road. The College is also constructing a full-service campus, scheduled to open in fall 2027, at 29638 FM 2920.

Blinn's wing of the high school is open to Blinn students from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Parking is available in the designated lot outside the Blinn College entrance on Field Store Road. This lot will be the first right turn for drivers on Field Store Road as they approach the campus from Highway 290. Students do not need a Blinn parking permit to use this lot.

Washington County is the only county that pays taxes to Blinn College; as a result, Washington County residents pay the in-district tuition rate. Students from other counties, including Waller and Harris counties, do not pay taxes to Blinn College; as a result, they pay the out-of-district tuition rate. Yes. All Blinn students are eligible for both scholarships and financial aid. To complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), visit the 2024-2025 FAFSA Form.

At this time, food services are not available on the Waller Campus.

Blinn-Waller does not have a bookstore, but students may purchase items online through the Barnes & Noble Official Campus Bookstore website. Please note that upon registration, students will automatically receive their textbooks and course materials at a reduced price through the BucBooks program. Blinn-Waller does not have a health clinic on campus; however, students may utilize the health clinic at the Brenham, Bryan, or RELLIS campuses. For more information, please see our Health Clinic Hours and Locations page.
