CDL Truck Driving
Drive your career forward by preparing for the Texas Department of Transportation’s commercial driver's license (CDL) exam. Through CVOP 1013 and CVOP 1040 (240 total contact hours), you’ll gain the skills needed to operate commercial vehicles safely and professionally. CDL drivers are in high demand nationwide, offering job stability and the opportunity to travel while earning a strong income.
Through the two concurrent courses, you will learn to conduct pre-trip, on-the-road, and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections and gain skills in map reading, managing logbooks and cargo documentation, dispatch procedures, emergency responsibilities, and transportation agency regulations. Each course is $2,943 for a total program cost of $5,886 payable upon registration, and scholarships are available.
Students must have their CDL Learner's Permit to register for the two concurrent courses. If a student does not have their CDL Learner's Permit, we offer an 8-week CDL Learner's Permit (CLP) Exam Preparation for $935.
Please review the Commercial Driver Skills Training Pre-Class Requirements for information to use prior to class. Complete the CDL Truck Driving (Non-Credit) Application to register and make payment to secure a slot in the class. Once completed, you will be contacted by the Reveille Commercial-Driver Training Academy (RCTA) for a pre-qualification interview.

They don’t want you to just pass the test. They want you to be safe on the road, be successful, get a good job, and have a good career.” For Caden Freeman, 18, driving is the ultimate freedom.
