Blinn swears in returning trustees, elects board officers

Allison Bentke is elected to a two-year term as board chair

The Blinn College District Board of Trustees swore in three returning members and elected new officers during its regular meeting Tuesday in Brenham.

Trustees Jim Kolkhorst, Richard O’Malley, and Dennis Crowson were sworn in to new six-year terms.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, the board elected Allison Bentke to serve a two-year term as chair. Trustee Randy Wells was elected vice-chair and Trustee Rebecca Ehlert was elected secretary.

After the election of officers, Bentke and Chancellor Dr. Mary Hensley presented Kolkhorst with a plaque recognizing his four years of service as board chair.
