Blinn trustees authorize sale of 95 acres to Bryan ISD

Board of Trustees also authorizes the College to negotiate and execute painting and online proctoring contracts

The Blinn College District Board of Trustees authorized the College to complete the sale of 95.29 acres of property at FM 2818 and Leonard Road to Bryan ISD during its regular meeting Tuesday.

Blinn purchased the property in 2015 for the purpose of developing a second Brazos County campus, but opted not to develop the property after it was invited to participate in the RELLIS Academic Alliance on the RELLIS Campus. Blinn opened campus operations at RELLIS in fall 2018.

In other business, the board authorized the College to negotiate and execute contracts with Allenko Finishes, LLC, for interior painting at Wheeler Hall on the Brenham Campus and with Honorlock, Inc. to provide online proctoring services.

The board also received reports regarding Blinn’s Adult Education and Literacy Program and the Dental Hygiene Program's recent Give Kids a Smile event, which provided approximately $20,000 in free dental services to local children.
