May Minimester 2025

Running May 12th through May 27th, the May minimester 2025 term allows students to earn full course credit in just a few weeks. These accelerated minimester courses cover the same material as a full-length course, allowing Blinn students to earn full college credit toward their degree.

Please see the available May minimester courses listed below along with their Texas A&M University, University of Houston, Sam Houston State University, and Texas State University equivalents. College officials recommend that all students meet with an academic advisor prior to registration.

Program FAQ

The 60-credit-hour Associate of Science in Business is designed for students who plan to transfer and pursue a bachelor’s degree at a four-year university. We even offer an accelerated pathway that allows you to complete this degree in just one year. To participate in the accelerated pathway, please email busi@blinn.edu.

The 60-credit-hour Associate of Applied Science in Accounting prepares students to work as advanced bookkeepers or audit clerks or to continue their studies by pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science in Business Management.

The 30-credit-hour Level-2 Certificate in Accounting provides a foundation in accounting for students seeking to begin careers in payroll or bookkeeping, or for students who plan to continue pursuing their Associate of Applied Science in Accounting.

The Associate of Science in Business can be completed online and on the Brenham, Bryan, RELLIS, Schulenburg, and Sealy campuses.

The Associate of Applied Science in Accounting can be completed online with some courses available on the Brenham, Bryan, Schulenburg, and Sealy campuses.

The Level-2 Certificate in Accounting can be completed online with some courses available on the Brenham, Bryan, Schulenburg, and Sealy campuses.

Blinn has a variety of co-enrollment and transfer partnerships to place you on the path to a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.

Through the RELLIS Academic Alliance at Texas A&M-RELLIS, you can co-enroll at Blinn while earning one of the following bachelor’s degrees from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, which also offers classes at RELLIS:

Through the CAPS Program, we also offer a co-enrollment partnership with the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) that allows you to earn your Associate of Applied Science in Accounting from Blinn and your Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in General Studies from UHV.

We also have an articulation agreement with Sam Houston State that will allow you to begin your studies with Blinn and then transfer your credits toward the following degrees at Sam Houston State:

We also have an articulation with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) that allows you to earn your Associate of Science in Business from Blinn and apply those credits toward a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from SNHU (all SNHU courses for this degree are available online).

In addition to these partnerships, Blinn accounting students transfer to some of the state’s leading bachelor’s degree programs, including Texas A&M, Prairie View A&M, Texas State, the University of Houston, or more.  Speak to an academic advisor at your university of choice to see how Blinn credits will apply toward your specific degree plan.

Blinn graduates have gone on to pursue successful careers in a variety of accounting-related fields, including public accounting, corporate accounting, government accounting, and non-profit accounting, and have pursued further education in fields such as law, business, and finance. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, accountants and auditors earned a median salary of $77,250 in 2021.
