With campuses closed to regularly scheduled events and activities, the Blinn College-Bryan Campus is offering virtual programming to support the student community and bolster connectivity.
The Blinn-Bryan Student Leadership and Activities office has organized a Virtual Speaker Series open to all Blinn students via Microsoft Teams.
The series kicks off with “OK Zoomer: Tips on Succeeding at Distance Learning,” from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, April 20, at https://bit.ly/slaokz. The seminar will provide tips to help students adapt to the new online class environment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We want to make sure our students feel supported and engaged,” said Christopher Nguyen, Coordinator of Student Activities at Blinn-Bryan. “These talks are meant to address some of the new challenges students are facing.”
The series will continue with “Stop Buying All the Toilet Paper: Making Your Money Work for You” ( https://bit.ly/slafi) from noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28. This workshop will help students with money management and finance issues.
Registration is open for Blinn’s May Minimester, Summer, and Fall 2020 semesters. May Minimester and Summer courses will be offered entirely online. To register for classes, visit www.blinn.edu/admissions.
