Through an accelerated one-year program, Blinn College District students can earn their Associate of Science Degree in Business and take the fast track to bachelor’s degree programs at four-year universities.
Through a combination of course credits earned during the Fall and Spring semesters, Blinn’s winter and May minimesters, and the summer session, students can complete the program at an accelerated pace. The program is available entirely online, adding flexibility and convenience to this unique opportunity.
“Our accelerated Associate of Science in Business degree is a streamlined program that prepares students to excel when they transfer to bachelor’s degree programs at four-year institutions,” said Marshall Rich, Assistant Dean for the Division of Business and Mathematics. “The resources and support our students receive, coupled with the fact that the degree can be completed entirely online, offers a flexibility and rigor that will prepare them to succeed.”
Part of Blinn’s Division of Business and Mathematics, the Business Program offers numerous tracks, including the Associate of Science Degree in Business, which can be taken in-person, online, or through the accelerated one-year option. The Associate of Science Degree in Business prepares students to transfer to four-year universities to pursue bachelor’s degrees in majors including accounting, finance, marketing, business/commerce, management information systems, or human resources management.
Other business tracks include an Associate of Applied Science in Small Business Management, Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration and Management, as well as several certificate programs.
Blinn’s business associate degree options are designed to seamlessly transfer to bachelor’s degree programs offered at the RELLIS Campus through the RELLIS Academic Alliance. This unique partnership between Blinn and nine Texas A&M System regional universities includes a Bachelor of Business Administration degree option from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s regional campus.
“Blinn’s relationship with The Texas A&M University System regional universities at the RELLIS Campus creates a direct route for our students to earn their bachelor’s degrees in business administration,” Rich said. “This collaboration creates the perfect environment for students to harness their abilities and embark on successful careers as entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders.”
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, careers in business and finance are expected to grow 7% between 2018 and 2028, creating an additional 591,800 jobs nationwide.
