November 25, 2019
Two business management courses will be offered this spring for the first time on the Blinn College-Brenham Campus.
The courses, BMGT 1327: Principles of Management and BMGT 2305: Advanced Communications in Management, are part of Blinn’s Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees in Business Administration and Small Business Management, said Marshall Rich, Assistant Dean of Accounting, Business, and Economics.
BMGT 2305 is also required in the AAS degree for accounting, Rich added.
BMGT 1327 will emphasize the explanation of various theories, processes, and functions of management. It also identifies leadership roles in an organization and discusses the importance of communication.
BMGT 2305 is a study of advanced principles of oral and written communications for managers. Emphasis will be on procedures for writing reports and proposals, and also on conducting research to produce effective oral presentations.
Both courses will be held in the Bullock Classroom Building during the Spring semester. For more information about Blinn’s business degree offerings, please visit www.blinn.edu/business.
