Blinn College District students can save more than $4,000 in tuition and fees compared to students at state universities in 2019-20

Students who choose the Blinn College District in 2019-20 can save more than $4,000 in tuition and fees compared to the average Texas public university.
According to data from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s CollegeForAllTexans.com, out-of-district Blinn students taking 30 credit hours will save $4,036 in tuition and fees compared to in-state residents at the average Texas public university. According to the site, the average tuition and fees for Texas residents taking 30 credit hours at a public university in 2019-20 will be $9,510, up from $9,258 the previous year.
Out-of-district Blinn students pay $112 per credit hour in tuition and $67 per credit hour in general fees. For more information regarding college expenses, view the Blinn College District Catalog at http://catalog.blinn.edu/.
In addition to Blinn’s low tuition and fees, the Blinn Foundation offers more than 200 endowed scholarships available to incoming and returning students from a wide range of backgrounds, majors, and experiences. Registration is now open for the Blinn College District’s May Minimester, Summer I, Summer II, and Fall semesters.
The three-week May Minimester runs Monday, May 13, through Wednesday, May 29, and registration is available through Sunday, May 12.
Students can enroll in the Summer I semester through Sunday, June 2, and the Summer II semester through Sunday, July 7. Fall semester registration is open through Sunday, Aug. 25.
Prospective students can apply to Blinn via the GoApplyTexas.org application. Once admitted, they can register for classes at https://my.blinn.edu or in person at the Brenham Campus Administration Building (802 Green St.), Bryan Tejas Center (3125 Texas Ave., Suite 1900), Schulenburg Campus (100 Ranger Dr.), or Sealy Campus (3701 Outlet Mall Dr., Suite 250). Blinn recommends that all students visit with an academic advisor, and students can chat online with a Blinn admissions specialist between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at www.blinn.edu/admissions.
Blinn offers courses online and at its Brenham, Bryan, RELLIS, Schulenburg, and Sealy campuses. Blinn Online offers students greater flexibility in scheduling their courses, and academic and student support are available through the College’s online student portal, myBLINN. Blinn offers a variety of resources for students considering online courses at www.blinn.edu/online, including an orientation course, tips for taking an online course, tutorials, and frequently asked questions.
At the RELLIS Campus, Blinn courses transfer seamlessly into the four-year bachelor’s degree programs offered by The Texas A&M University System regional universities also located onsite. For more information, visit www.blinn.edu/RELLIS.
Blinn’s academic transfer rate is the highest in the state, according to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and Blinn has partnered with Texas A&M University to develop pioneering co-enrollment programs such as the Texas A&M-Blinn TEAM Program, the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Bryan, and the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham.
