Workforce Education > Health Professions > Certified Medication Aide - Update Certified Medication Aide - Update This course fulfills the continuing education units mandated by the Texas Department of Health. Medication aide permit holders must complete seven hours of continuing education prior to expiration of their permit in order to renew. The expiration date is shown on the permit.
