Workforce Education

TDLR approved continuing education (CE) hours will be required to renew a cosmetology license that expires on or after September 1, 2006. The hours required must be completed within the term of the license being renewed.
Blinn College offers continuing education classes for the Licensed Cosmetologist in order to meet the state requirements for license renewal. Blinn College is an approved provider (TDLR #1026) and the following course is approved by TDLR.

Course Description: Provides participants with the necessary instruction and education needed to meet the requirements of continuing education as prescribed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

• Texas Occupations Code, Chapters 1602 and 1603
• 16 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 83
• Health and Sanitation Standards in Chapter 83; and/or
• Curriculum subjects listed in 16 Texas Administrative Code, §83.120
(Meets all requirements of TDLR for license renewal)

Pre-registration is required
No registration is available the day of the class.
You may register by phone with a credit card, print and fax a completed registration form from www.blinn.edu/workforce or in-person at the Bryan, Brenham, Sealy or Schulenburg office.

You must have the following information:
Name, address, phone number, Social Security #, TDLR State License #,
TDLR License Type (Cosmetologist, Nail Technician, etc.) & TDLR License expiration date

Each participant will be issued a Certificate of Completion at the end of the class and Blinn College will report all completions to the TDLR within 7 days of the class.
