Food Service Manager Re-Certification
Re-Certification
The Texas Department of Health (TDH) requires owners and operators of
establishments that prepare and serve food to the public who have been
certified to be re-certified. This 7-hour program meets that requirement.
The specified topics covered are: categories of food contamination, factors
that contribute to food borne illness, prevention of food borne illness
and introduction to HACCP.
All students must show evidence of successful completion of the 15-hour
Food Service Manager Certification course. The course ends with the TDH
Re-certification Examination, which is included in the course fee.
Outcomes:
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to demonstrate
techniques in:
- Sanitation
- Identifying potentially hazardous foods and common errors in food
handling
- Preventing contamination and cross contamination of food
