Workforce Education > Applied Technology > Master Electrician Exam Review Master Electrician Exam Review ELPT 1070 This course is designed to prepare the student to take the Master Electrician exam. The code book will be the focus of the class and covered extensively. The study will include control devices and equipment used for the generation and distribution of electricity. Other areas of discussion include troubleshooting, cables, calculations, switches and safety. Class Attendance: Students registering for the course will be expected to attend 12 sessions
of 3 hours per night with a quiz at the beginning of each class and homework
assignments to be turned in at the next class, except for the first and
last class. Each student will need to bring with him/her a copy of the National Electric Code 2005. Spiral-type books are the best for study. In addition, they will need a set of reference tabs for the code book and all this may be purchased from a Construction Savvy catalog. Call 1-800-253-0541 or go online to www.constructionbook.com. Also, each student will need a yellow highlighter pen, a red leaded pencil, and some form of straight edge such as a ruler. Tabs should be applied to the code book before attending the first class.
