Surgical Technology Application Process

Step 1

Attend Information Session. Access Surgical Technology website and sign up for informational session online. Students MUST sign up to attend a session.

Step 2

Enroll in Blinn College. Click here for enrollment information.

Step 3

Apply for Financial Aid if needed. Click here for Financial Aid Information.

Step 4

Must have Pre-requisites-

Pre-Requisites:
BIOL 1406-General Biology
BIOL 2401-Anatomy and Physiology I
BIOL 2421-Microbiology
HITT 1305-Medical Terminology

Co-Requisite for Fall portion of Program:
BIOL 2402-Anatomy & Physiology II (recommended as pre-requisite)

Step 5

Take the HOBET. Those students applying to the Surgical Technology Program MUST take the HOBET at the Bryan campus. Click here for more information about the HOBET. Only applications for students that have 50% or above on all sections of the HOBET will be considered for admission into the Program.

Step 6

Begin Immunizations that you may need.

Step 7

Complete the Allied Health Program Student Application and turn in by 5:00 p.m., July 23, 2010. We will accept applications beginning March 9, 2010. Applications and HOBET scores should be turned in to room 122 in the Health Building on the Bryan Campus.

Applications will not be accepted after due date.
