Ms. Flores graduated from Texas A&M in 1989 with a Masters degree in Education. Previous education includes a Bachelor of Science degree and Associate in Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology.

Presently, Ms. Flores is the Program Director for the Radiologic Technology Program.  Her experience of 29 years includes 14 years in hospital and clinical work and 15 years in education.  Her active schedule includes serving on numerous committees including the Grant Committee, Professional Development Committee, Advisory Committee, Safety Committee, Endowed Scholarship Committee, Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) and club sponsor for the Radiologic Technology Association.  Ms. Flores has been a recipient of the Who’s Who award and Minnie Piper Award for Teaching Excellence. She has also been recognized by Who's Who in Medicine/Healthcare, Who's Who in National Educators and Who's Who of American Women. She was awarded the Blinn College Teaching Excellence Award in 2003. Ms. Flores co-directed excavations of mummies in Peru in 2002 and is a prolific speaker for her profession. In the community, Ms. Flores has ben involved as a "motivational speaker" for GED graduates and a guest speaker for the Lions Club, Shriners and other organizations of interest. She has been involved with publishing companies (Mosby/Lippincott) as a book reviewer and an article reviewer for the Journal of Osteoarcheology. Ms. Flores is dedicated to educating and placing qualified radiologic technologists in the workforce.
