Mission of the Program

Consistent with the mission of Blinn College, the faculty of the Radiologic Technology Program is committed to serving the educational needs of the citizens of Brazos/Washington and surrounding counties.  This mission will be accomplished by providing quality instruction, preparing the graduate with employable skills as entry level radiographer, preparing the graduate to be successful on the National Certification Examination, and providing the opportunity to participate in higher education or other advanced imaging modalities.  The program will be alert to industry needs and educational requirements.

Program Goals

• The program will graduate radiologic technologists with satisfactory entry-level skills in problem solving, critical thinking and communication.
• The program will foster independent thinking, promote the pursuit of life-long learning and professional growth.
• The program will continue to provide quality education and maintain a high pass rate in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification Examination.
• The program will prepare the graduate with employable skills necessary for entry-level employment.
