Prospective Student

Applicants must:

Apply to Blinn College and meet Blinn College requirements for admission.  Application can be found online at http://www.blinn.edu/admissions.

Must be College Ready by Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards. For TSI advising, please email Kynsie Benefield for appointments at kynsie.benefield@blinn.edu.

  • Meet  Texas Success Initiative (TSI) assessment requirements. Some students may be exempt from TSI requirements. Check with your advisor for more details.
  • Submit all transcripts to Blinn College

Fill out the FAFSA for Federal Student Aid.  Any questions regarding student financial aid should be directed to Financial Aid at 979-209-7230 or http://www.blinn.edu/finaid/

Fire Science Academy Informational Sessions


Blinn College and TEEX require students to take and successfully complete an EMT course before attending the recruit academy.  Current immunizations, including Hepatitis B is required upon admission to Blinn College’s EMT course.  If the EMT course is completed at another training institution then a student must show proof of completion with their National Registry card.

Information sessions are for students enrolling into the Fire Science Academy - this session is NOT required until the last semester of the two-year AAS degree or the second semester of the certificate. Additionally, this session is not at all required for Fire Safety and Health AAS students.
