ACCOUNTING

This program is designed to provide the students with the necessary workplace competencies to obtain entry level employment in accounting. Emphasis is on the development of the basic accounting principles as they apply to data entry computer applications. (All course work in the accounting technician certificate transfers to the accounting degree.)

MANAGEMENT

This program is designed to provide students the skills necessary for first-line management positions, as well as upgrading the skills of those presently in the industry.  Emphasis is on the ability to relate to others, the skills needed to work in a team, problem solving, and issues associated with change.

HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

This program is designed to provide students with skills for entry level and mid-management positions in the hospitality industry.  Emphasis is on the running of day-to-day operations.  The program focuses on the managerial side of the hospitality industry rather than the culinary component.

SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

This program is designed to provide students an understanding of how to start and operate a business.  Emphasis is on developing the business plan, raising capital, accounting and tax strategies, planning cash flow requirements, human resource issues, and developing marketing plans.
