Immunizations and Prescreening For Drugs & Criminal Background Checks

The Blinn College Allied Health Programs must comply with both Texas law and clinical agency requirements related to immunizations and prescreening for drugs and criminal background check.  Some of these requirements take 3-6 months to complete, so students should NOT delay completion of these immunization and prescreening requirements.  Travel or accelerated schedules are NOT acceptable reasons for delay for Allied Health Division students.

Click here for more specifics on the “Immunizations and Prescreening for Drugs & Criminal Background Checks Policies”.  Students should make copies for their personal records before submitting documentation of these requirements.  For Program-specific information, go to the respective Allied Health Program’s web-page.

For students who may need assistance in completing the required immunizations and Health Data Form with healthcare provider assessment, there are a number of facilities that do them on a sliding scale or other reduced cost.  Click here for more information on community sites offering immunizations/titers.

Criminal Background Checks are done through a private vendor, Precheck, Inc.   Upon receipt of admission to one of the Allied Health Programs, go to www.precheck.com to start that process.  Payment is made directly to Precheck, Inc.

The Health Data Form is available for download to take to your healthcare provider.  It is also available in the respective Allied Health Program’s Office.  Information on where to obtain drug screens will be available in the respective Allied Health Program’s Office.

Should you have any questions regarding the immunization requirements, please contact the Program Office at the phone number on the Program’s web-page.
