Licensing Information
All graduates seeking licensure must pass the NCLEX-RN (licensure examination) administered by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas. The Board of Nurse Examiners may refuse to admit persons to its examinations or may refuse to issue a license for any of the following reasons:
1) Denial of licensure or disciplinary action by any licensing authority. 2) Conviction of a felony. 3) Conviction of a misdemeanor other than minor traffic violations. 4) Diagnoses or treatment of some psychiatric problems within the last 5 years. 5) Addiction or treatment for use of alcohol or drugs within the past 5 years. 6) Previous order concerning eligibility for examination or licensure by this Board. 7) Charges pending.
