Transfer Scholarships

Transfer Scholarships

The University Transfer Center has information pertaining to numerous scholarships awarded to Blinn College students who transfer to a four-year college or university. Explore all of the scholarships available to community college transfer students online at www.blinn.edu/p16. The following is a list of scholarships offered by our university partners:

Baylor University:

The Baylor University Transfer Scholarship is awarded to community college transfer students by virtue of the application for admission. Students who are accepted to Baylor University are considered for scholarship awards based on their cumulative transfer grade point average. For example, students with a cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.75-4.0 are eligible to receive a $9,000 scholarship per academic year. Renewal of these scholarships each year is contingent upon maintaining a cumulative Baylor grade point average of at least 3.0. For more information visit the Baylor University Transfer Student Scholarship Web site at: http://www.shsu.edu/~fao_www/xferscholarship.html

Sam Houston State University Bearkat Transfer Scholarship:

The Bearkat Transfer Scholarship is automatically offered in the Fall and Spring semester to qualifying undergraduate first-time SHSU students who meet transfer hour and GPA criteria.  Consideration for this scholarship requires transfer students complete the admission application process. Students who have previously attended an accredited community college and/or university with at least 45 credit hours are eligible to apply. The Bearkat Transfer scholarships are limited and awards will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information visit the SHSU Transfer Student Scholarship Web site at: http://www.shsu.edu/~fao_www/xferscholarship.html

Stephen F. Austin State University:

The Community College Transfer Scholarship Program offers new students transferring from community colleges an opportunity to qualify for awards up to $2000. The scholarship is awarded to students who start in the fall or spring semester. There is no application for the scholarship. Students will automatically be considered and notified of their eligibility upon receipt of a completed application for admission and official college transcript(s). It is strongly recommended that students apply early in order to receive full consideration for the scholarship.
