The governance regarding freedom from discrimination, harassment and retaliation for students can be found in Blinn College Board Policies FFDA (LEGAL) and FFDA (LOCAL). The process for Title IX violations is as follows:
Blinn participated in a half day Title IX training on January 6, 2017, including Tips for the Investigation; Perils, Pitfalls and Problems in Policies and Procedures; and Issues in Law and Practice, Yesterday and Today. The trainer was David Halpern, formerly a litigator in the Office of the Texas Attorney General, and for the last several years, a Title IX attorney in the General Counsel's Office at The Texas A&M System. Joining Mr. Halpern in presenting the training were attorneys from the Texas Advocacy Project. If you have any questions about Title IX and Blinn College, please contact the College's Title IX Coordinator, Dr. Dennis Crowson at 979-830-4456.
