Constitution ARTICLE I - Name and Territorial Limits Section 1: The name of this organization shall be Blinn Naturalists. Section 2: The membership of this organization shall be open to all students of Blinn College. ARTICLE II - Objectives Section 1: The objectives of this organization shall be: A) To promote fellowship. B) To promote a better understanding and awareness of the environment. ARTICLE III - Membership Section 1: To become or remain a participating member of Blinn Naturalist, a student must be in good standing at all times with all of the rules and regulations of Blinn College. ARTICLE IV - Officers Section 1 - Officers of this club shall be president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and student senate representative. All officers of this organization will comprise the executive council. Section 2 - No officer shall be on scholalstic or disciplinary probation. Section 3 - Duties of the officers shall be: A) The president shall preside at all meeting and present the agenda and recommendations to the club. The president shall notify the persons concerned of the action taken by the club. B) The vice-president, in the absence of the president, shall preside over all meetings of this organization and shall perform other duties as usually prescribed to the office or which may be assigned by the president. C) The secretary shall maintain a record of all meetings and proceedings and execute all other duties usual or prescribed to the office. D) The treasurer shall keep all financial records and execute all other duties usual or prescribed to the office. E) The student senate representative shall attend all student senate meetings and report proceedings of each meeting to the president. Section 4: Any officer who fails to fulfill the duties to which he/she was elected may be removed from office by a majority vote of the executive council. Section 5: Vacancies may be filled by nominations and majority vote of the organization. ARTICEL V - Sponsor Responsibilities Section 1: The sponsor is a member of the executive council. The sponsor's primary responsibility is to advise, to serve as a resource person, and to serve as a counselor. Section 2:
